How long does it take to get from Arlanda to Kista?
22 to 30 minutes for the 30 km south on the E4. It is the shortest airport run we operate — Kista sits roughly halfway between Arlanda and central Stockholm, right beside the motorway, so the car leaves the E4 at the Kista junction without ever entering the city. That also means no congestion charge. Allow an extra 15 to 20 minutes for a weekday afternoon arrival, when the E4 and E18 interchange beside Kista slows down.
How much is a transfer from Arlanda to Kista?
From 585 SEK per vehicle in an Economy sedan and from 745 SEK in a Standard Mercedes E-Class, both for up to three guests with luggage. A six-seat Mercedes V-Class starts at 1 075 SEK and a fourteen-seat Sprinter at 1 635 SEK. Because Kista is the shortest route on our network it is also the cheapest. These are starting-from prices, calculated as a base fare plus a per-kilometre rate — for Economy, 255 SEK plus 11 SEK per km, rounded up to the nearest 5 SEK — subject to a 445 SEK minimum fare, and fixed in writing before you book.
Why is there no direct train from Arlanda to Kista?
Because Kista has no commuter rail station. It is served by the metro blue line, which runs outward from the city centre rather than inward from the north, so the standard rail journey takes you the full 40 km into Stockholm Central and then 15 km back out again on line 11 — roughly an hour for a place that is 30 km from the terminal. There is no airport coach to Kista either: Flygbussarna serves Stockholm C, Liljeholmen and Brommaplan. This is the only route we publish where public transport genuinely travels away from your destination first.
Can I take the commuter train to Helenelund instead?
Yes, and if you are travelling light it is the sensible move — we would rather tell you than have you find out afterwards. Helenelund is on the commuter line from Arlanda, about 25 minutes, and it is the closest station to Kista at roughly 1.5 km — a fifteen-minute walk or a short connecting bus. The cost is an SL single ticket of 43 SEK plus the 147 SEK Arlanda passage fee, so about 190 SEK per adult. Very few first-time visitors know to change there, which is why most end up routed through the city.
Where exactly does the driver meet me?
Inside the arrivals hall of your terminal, holding a board with your name — not at a rank and not in a car park. Terminal 5 for SAS, Star Alliance and most long-haul, Terminal 2 for oneworld, SkyTeam and several low-cost carriers, Terminal 4 for domestic. Terminal 3 is closed. You get your driver's name, photo and mobile number by message before you land.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Nothing that costs you money. We track the flight number rather than the clock, so the pickup moves with the aircraft whether you are twenty minutes late or four hours late. Free waiting is 60 minutes from touchdown on Schengen arrivals and 90 minutes on intercontinental, which covers passport control and the baggage belt comfortably. There is no surge pricing and no rebooking fee for a delay.
Do you serve KTH Kista and Stockholm University DSV?
Yes, and to the specific building rather than the campus in general. KTH has whole departments in Kista and Stockholm University's Department of Computer and Systems Sciences sits in the same cluster, which between them bring in a steady flow of visiting researchers, examiners, opponents at public defences and conference speakers. Departments can book on an invoice with a reference code, so nobody is reclaiming a taxi receipt afterwards.
Can you handle arrivals for data centres and technical visits?
Yes, including the awkward ones. Kista holds one of Europe's denser concentrations of data centres, and the work that brings people to them — migrations, audits, hardware swaps — is scheduled deliberately outside office hours. We run around the clock, we can take equipment and flight cases that a sedan will not hold, and we can deliver to a loading entrance rather than a main reception. Tell us at booking what is travelling with you, because it changes which vehicle we send rather than what you pay.
Is Ericsson still in Kista?
Yes, for now. In
May 2026 Ericsson announced it will move its Stockholm operations and global headquarters from Kista to
Hagastaden, in what is reported as the largest single office lease in Swedish history. The relocation is estimated to
begin in early 2028 and to run in phases over several years, so
Kista remains Ericsson's Stockholm base for the time being — as do KTH, Stockholm University, the data centre cluster and the international technology employers around them. We drive to both districts: Hagastaden sits beside Karolinska on our
Solna route, about 37 km out, so on the same rate card it works out around 665 SEK rather than 585.
Do you offer corporate accounts for Kista businesses?
Yes. Monthly invoicing with cost-centre and reference-code tagging on every line, a named account contact, priority allocation on repeat routes, and pre-agreed rates for the addresses you use most across Kista Science City, the Galleria hotels and Sollentuna. Visitor, candidate, auditor and conference arrivals are the bookings we handle most often for Kista employers, and because the rate card is published, an account rate is a discount off an arithmetic you can already check.
How far ahead should I book?
Twenty-four hours guarantees the vehicle class you want. Kista's demand is driven by conference and corporate calendars rather than tourism, so it spikes around large events at the Science Tower and the Galleria conference floors, and around the technical work that clusters at weekends. Same-day requests are taken whenever a car is free; inside a few hours, call dispatch rather than booking online and we will tell you straight away what is available.
